Virtual: Rachel's Kripalu Yoga on Zoom

Rachel's Kripalu yoga on Zoom is a 60-minute class that includes centering, breathing, warm-ups, postures, and relaxation. This practice is done from a mat on the floor. This live-streaming class takes place on Mondays at 6:00 pm Eastern Time.

Instructions and Zoom link for joining will be included in the confirmation email. All levels are welcome.

Cost: Sliding Scale Payment: Attend a class for as little as $10

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Download the Zoom app on desktop or mobile (free)
  2. Sign up for your virtual class on the schedule page (right here)
  3. You'll get a Zoom link in your confirmation in your email to use when class begins.
  4. You'll also get a reminder email 15 minutes prior to the start time.
  5. You'll be admitted from the "waiting room" at the time of class.
  6. Your video can be on or off. All participants will be muted when class begins. Practice along and enjoy!

In-Person: 60 Minute Chair Yoga Class at Crary Art Gallery

Chair yoga classes are really fantastic for people who have trouble with poses on their knees when on the mat. It’s not a watered down “sitting” yoga. Chair yoga uses the chair as a prop to aid in stretches, keep balance easier and keep people off their knees. It’s great for people who have had knee replacements.

Rachel's Chair yoga on Zoom is a 45-minute class that includes centering, breathing, warm-ups, postures, and relaxation all while sitting in or using the chair for support. This live-streaming class takes place on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm Eastern Time.

Instructions and Zoom link for joining will be included in the confirmation email. All levels are welcome.

In-Person: 75 Minute Kripalu Yoga Class at Russell United Methodist Church

Kripalu Yoga teaches breathing, stretching, and relaxation techniques while emphasizing the practices of being present, listening to one's body, and accepting where one is today in terms of flexibility, strength, and alignment.  Any form of hatha yoga will give you the benefits of physical strength and flexibility, Kripalu yoga also teaches you to accept yourself how you are in this moment.

Rachel Tome has been teaching Kripalu Yoga for 21 years and practicing for 25 years. Rachel was inspired by her first teacher, Patti Cervone and also studied with many Senior level Kripalu yoga teachers. She graduated from 200 HR YTT in 2004 and continued trainings in Prenatal yoga, LifeForce yoga, and Ziva meditation. Rachel teaches gentle yoga classes with guidelines to practice with compassion and grace.

Private Yoga Sessions with Rachel (on Zoom)

You can book a day and time convenient for you and choose from Kripalu, Chair, Prenatal, LifeForce (yoga for depression & anxiety), meditation, breathing or a mix of many as your focus in the yoga session. Choose a 45-minute session for $70 or a 60-minute session for $90.
